Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain them well and set aside.
Assemble Casserole
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked and drained egg noodles, tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen peas, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Stir all ingredients together until they are well combined.
- Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Add Topping and Bake
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan, then stir in the breadcrumbs until they are lightly toasted.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the casserole, then top with the buttered breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
