Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain them thoroughly and set aside.
Assembly
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cooked noodles, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and frozen peas.
- Stir in three-quarters of the shredded cheddar cheese, reserving the rest for later.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Finally, scatter the crushed potato chips over the cheese layer.
Bake and Serve
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
- Let it stand for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of hot sauce or some chopped celery to the mixture. If you don't have potato chips, crushed crackers or breadcrumbs also work well as a topping.
