Preparation
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain and chop the broccoli into florets.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, cornstarch, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, then remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce, stirring until it thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
- Serve immediately with rice if desired.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Adjust soy sauce to taste for desired saltiness.
