Basic Hummus Ingredients
  • 1 can Chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup Tahini
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2-4 tablespoons Water or as needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin
Garden Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup Cucumber diced
  • 1/4 cup Bell pepper diced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika for garnish

Method
 

Hummus Preparation
  1. Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin in a food processor.
  2. Process until smooth, adding water gradually until desired consistency is reached.

  1. Spread the prepared hummus into a shallow dish or bowl, creating a smooth surface.
  2. Arrange the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and bell pepper over the hummus like a garden.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of paprika for color and flavor.

Notes

For extra creaminess, remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending. Adjust lemon juice and salt to taste. Serve with warm pita bread or fresh vegetables for dipping.
