Meatloaf
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 0.5 cup onion, chopped
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and black pepper, mixing until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared baking pan.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  2. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add some finely diced bell peppers or garlic to the meat mixture. A glaze of extra ketchup and a dash of brown sugar can be added during the last 15 minutes of baking for a sweeter topping.
