Prepare the Chicken
- Pat dry the chicken thighs and cut them into 1-inch pieces. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, then dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Cook the Chicken
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the floured chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Hot Honey Sauce
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir constantly until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Combine and Serve
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the hot honey sauce. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can double-fry the chicken. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preferred spice level.
