Preparation Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven or toaster to 375°F (190°C), then slice the ciabatta bread into 1-inch thick pieces and lightly brush each side with olive oil.
  2. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. While the bread toasts, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, a tablespoon of olive oil, and the chopped fresh basil in a medium bowl.
  4. Season the tomato mixture with salt and pepper to your liking, then gently toss all the ingredients together to ensure they are well combined.
  5. Once the toasted bread is ready, spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice of ciabatta, distributing the ingredients evenly.
  6. Finish by drizzling a small amount of balsamic glaze over the bruschetta, if desired, before serving them immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, rub a cut garlic clove over the toasted bread before adding the tomato topping. You can also experiment with different herbs like oregano or parsley.
