Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots sliced
  • 1 large bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cups rice cooked
For Garnish (Optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced
Spice Mix
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet or wok, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  2. While the beef cooks, prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, and minced garlic in a small bowl.
  3. Add the broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper to the skillet with the beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Serve the stir fry hot over cooked rice. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Feel free to substitute with your favorite stir-fry vegetables like snap peas, mushrooms, or water chestnuts.
