  • 1 package Thyme seeds or small plant
  • 1 ea Rosemary plant
  • 1 bag Potting soil
  • 3 ea Pots or garden space
  • as needed Water

Method

Planting the Herbs
  1. Choose a sunny spot in your garden or select individual pots for each herb.
  2. Fill the pots or prepare the garden soil with good quality potting mix, ensuring adequate drainage.
  3. Plant parsley and thyme seeds directly into the soil or transplant small plants, spacing them according to package directions.
Caring for Your Herbs
  1. Gently place the rosemary plant into its pot or garden spot and backfill with soil, ensuring the root ball is covered.
  2. Water all newly planted herbs thoroughly, then maintain consistent moisture without overwatering.
  3. Provide full sun for all three herbs, which means at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth.
Harvesting for Soup
  1. Regularly snip outer leaves of parsley and thyme to encourage bushier growth, harvesting as needed for your chicken soup.
  2. For rosemary, you can clip sprigs from the top and sides once the plant is established, ensuring not to remove more than one-third of the plant at a time.

Notes

For even quicker results, consider buying small herb plants instead of starting from seeds. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot, especially for rosemary.
