Ingredients

Beans
  • 1 packet Green bean seeds bush or pole variety
  • 1 packet Wax bean seeds
  • 1 packet Kidney bean seeds

Equipment

  • Garden trowel
  • Watering can or hose
  • Stakes or trellis (for pole beans)

Method

Planting
  1. Choose a sunny location in your garden with well-draining soil and amend with compost if necessary. Plant the green bean, wax bean, and kidney bean seeds according to package directions, typically 1 inch deep and 3-6 inches apart in rows.
Care
  1. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide support for pole beans with stakes or a trellis as they grow.
Harvesting
  1. Harvest green and wax beans when pods are tender and snap easily, typically 50-60 days after planting. Harvest kidney beans when pods are plump and seeds are fully developed, usually 90-100 days after planting.

Notes

For best results, succession plant beans every 2-3 weeks for a continuous harvest throughout the growing season.
