Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, dill, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish, pour the marinade over them, ensure they are well coated, and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C) and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Grilling
- Carefully place the marinated salmon fillets skin-side down on the preheated grill.
- Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
- The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
Serving
- Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with extra fresh dill or a lemon wedge if desired, and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but reduce the amount by half. Adjust grilling time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets; thicker fillets will require more time.
