Ingredients
  

For the Steak
  • 1 lb Skirt steak
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
For the Cilantro-Lime Rice
  • 2 cups Cooked white rice
  • 0.25 cup Fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
For Assembly
  • 1 can Black beans rinsed and drained
  • 0.5 cup Corn kernels
  • 0.5 cup Pico de gallo
  • 0.25 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt

Method
 

Prepare the Steak
  1. Slice the skirt steak against the grain into thin strips and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, then toss the steak strips with the seasoning mixture and olive oil until evenly coated.
Cook the Steak
  1. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and sear the steak strips in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
Prepare the Cilantro-Lime Rice
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cooked white rice, chopped fresh cilantro, lime juice, and salt, then fluff with a fork until well mixed.
Assemble the Bowls
  1. Divide the cilantro-lime rice among serving bowls, then top with the cooked steak, black beans, corn kernels, pico de gallo, and a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Chipotle-style steak bowl.

Notes

For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the steak seasoning. You can customize your bowl with other toppings like shredded cheese, guacamole, or hot sauce.
