Preparation
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips; also slice the bell peppers and onion.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced steak to the hot pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until browned, then remove it.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the same pan and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the steak to the pan, sprinkle with fajita seasoning, and squeeze fresh lime juice over everything.
- Toss well to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through and coated.
Serving
- Serve the fajita mixture immediately with warm tortillas and your preferred toppings like salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the steak in fajita seasoning and lime juice for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust seasoning to your taste and consider adding a pinch of chili flakes for some heat.
