Main Ingredients
  • 3 Tomatoes ripe, large
  • 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella ball
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Basil Leaves packed
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic Glaze optional
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the ripe tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  2. Also slice the fresh mozzarella ball into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  3. Arrange the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella alternatingly on a serving platter, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
Dressing and Serving
  1. Drizzle generously with extra virgin olive oil and, if desired, balsamic glaze.
  2. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  3. Serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer, side dish, or light lunch.
