  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, drained
Spinach and Artichoke Hummus
  • basic hummus prepared
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
Spicy Sriracha Hummus
  • basic hummus prepared
  • 1-2 tablespoons Sriracha
Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus
  • basic hummus prepared
  • 1/4 cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained

Method
 

Basic Hummus
  1. Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor, then blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. While blending, gradually add ice water one tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.
Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
  1. Add roasted red peppers to the basic hummus in the food processor and blend until smooth and well combined.
Spinach and Artichoke Hummus
  1. Add spinach and chopped artichoke hearts to the basic hummus in the food processor, then blend until fully incorporated.
Spicy Sriracha Hummus
  1. Add Sriracha to the basic hummus in the food processor and blend until the desired spice level is reached.
Sun-Dried Tomato Hummus
  1. Add sun-dried tomatoes to the basic hummus in the food processor and blend until smooth.

Notes

For extra smooth hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending. Adjust seasonings to taste for all recipes.
