Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Mixing and Baking
  1. Pour the milk and melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each biscuit.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

For extra flaky biscuits, use very cold butter cut into small pieces and gently fold into the dry ingredients before adding milk.
