  • Large pot
  • Large skillet
  • Whisk
  • Tongs
  • Cutting board

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant before pouring in the heavy cream and bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, and season the Alfredo sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked chicken and drained pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing everything together until well coated, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce. Fresh parsley or basil can be used as a garnish. Ensure your Parmesan cheese is freshly grated for the best texture and flavor in your sauce.
