Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and rub the herb butter mixture all over it.
Cooking
- Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the roasting pan.
- Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 165°F (74°C).
- Baste the turkey every 30 minutes with the pan juices to keep it moist.
Resting and Serving
- Once cooked, remove the turkey from the oven, tent it with foil, and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Slice against the grain and serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider brining the turkey breast overnight. You can also add chopped vegetables like carrots, celery, and onions to the roasting pan for a more flavorful broth.
