Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 Baguette sliced
  • 8 oz Burrata cheese
  • 1 cup Tomatoes chopped
Optional Garnishes
  • Fresh basil for garnish
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzle
  • Olive oil for drizzling and brushing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Oven or toaster oven
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pastry brush (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven or a toaster oven to 375°F (190°C) and slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush them with olive oil, then toast for 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp.
Assembly
  1. While the baguette toasts, drain the burrata cheese and gently tear or slice it into smaller, manageable pieces, and chop the fresh tomatoes into small cubes.
  2. Once the baguette is toasted, allow it to cool slightly, then spread a generous amount of burrata cheese on each slice.
  3. Top the burrata with the chopped tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper to taste; optionally, garnish with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze and olive oil, then serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can rub a garlic clove over the toasted baguette slices before adding the burrata. If fresh basil is not available, a sprinkle of dried Italian herbs can be used sparingly. This dish is best served immediately after assembly to enjoy the freshest flavors and textures.
