  • 8 oz Fresh Mushrooms sliced

Method
 

Basic Pot Roast
  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker; add potatoes, carrots, and onion around it.
  2. Pour beef broth over the ingredients; sprinkle with bay leaves, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours until the meat is tender.
Creamy Mushroom Pot Roast
  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix mushroom soup, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then pour over the roast.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours; stir in heavy cream during the last 30 minutes.
