Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque; remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Pour in white wine or chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits, and bring to a simmer to cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and lemon juice until melted, adding reserved pasta water if needed for a saucier consistency.
- Return cooked shrimp and drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce and toss to combine.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, salt, and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a good quality dry white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. If you prefer a milder spice, reduce or omit the red pepper flakes.
